Authority Receives 50 Complaints of Financial Services in Bali

Bali Provincial Financial Services Authority (OJK) received 50 complaints concerning financial services during the period January-June 2015.

“Most complaints concern issues related to banking,” said the head of OJK Bali Zulmi in Denpasar on Tuesday.

According to him, 42 complaints or 84 percent of it consists of banking problems, the non-bank financial industry (IKNB) seven complaints (14 percent), and one complaint regarding the capital market.

Related banking problems, Zulmi recorded nearly 60 per cent related to issues concerning the credit, then followed by deposit, consumer financing and insurance claims, and saving.

“Of the 50 complaints, 98 percent has been solved,” said Zulmi.

In addition to receive complaints, OJK Bali has also providing services to people who need information related to financial services as many as 69 service information concerning credit, savings, transfer and financing.

Meanwhile during 2014, OJK Bali received 130 complaints from public which consist of 108 complaints regarding banking products and 22 other product-related non-bank financial industries.

Consumer’s complaint with bank in Bali in 2014 mostly the problems related to credit as many as 67 complaints, saving (18), deposits (13), debtor information system (8) and other products.
