Badung to Hold Agricultural Culture Festival

Badung Regency Government, Bali, to hold Agricultural Culture Festival in an effort to maximize the economic management in rural areas.

“Agricultural Culture Festival is held continuously every year. It is carried out in the area of Tukad Bangkung Bridge, Plaga Village, Petang District for four days, 4-7 July 2015,” said Head of Public Relations and Protocol of Badung, AA Gede Raka Yuda in Mangupura on Tuesday.

He said the festival to feature the farmers’ crops coupled with the party of the people, the typical culinary of Bali, various competitions and popular entertainment as the government’s commitment to innovate and the concrete efforts in managing the economic potential of the region.

“With continuous Festival, Badung people especially the northern regions become more productive in managing agricultural land. And through these activities, the farmers can establish a relation to the tourism industry in marketing their crops,” said AA Gede Raka Yuda.

He added that Badung regency government will not neglecting the farmers in managing and marketing their products. Badung government through the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Plantations always assist farmers in managing and marketing of agricultural products.

Raka Yuda explained, Agricultural Culture Festival which consistently held cannot be separated from public participation in the field of agriculture, tourism, and private sectors.

He hoped that this synergy continues in the future. “Community support is vital to the advancement of sustainable development in Badung regency,” he said.
