DENPASAR ~
Indonesia Travel Agency Association (ASITA) Bali supports Garuda Indonesia to take the opportunity to open direct flights from countries in Europe and Asia that have potential to bring tourists to Bali.
Chairman of Indonesian Association of Travel Agency (ASITA) Bali I Ketut Ardana expected with this effort, there will be increasing tourist supplies from the country that the people come to the island. In addition, there’s also need for the government to support airlines in Indonesia to open more direct flights to some countries that could be potential to visit Bali.
“This is done because a lot of tourists from Asia and Europe are hoping for a direct flight to Bali,” said I Ketut Ardana in Denpasar on Thursday.
He cited the amount of Chinese tourist arrivals to Bali is very large, automatically airline of Indonesia must take this opportunity to bring tourists to the island.
He said the potential of European tourist visits to Bali is also very high, but they are constrained by flight which takes quite a long time because they have to transit to Bangkok-Singapore-Kuala Lumpur.
In the future, he expected the efforts of Indonesian airlines to take the direct flight routes for tourists who come to Bali. “Therefore, we strongly support the efforts of airlines to take that opportunity,” he said.

That would be a wonderfull idea.
We travel 2 or 3 times a year from Belgium or Blanda to Bali.
We always wonder why not in one line to Denpasar. It will increase the travelling time and i guess also the price.
