Gianyar Regent Expects Police Chief to Overcome Traffic in Ubud

Gianyar Regent Anak Agung Bharata expected Bali Police Chief Inspector General Ronny F Sompie to solve the problem of traffic in Ubud.

Regent Agung Bharata delivered it directly to the Bali police chief during a visit to Resort Police Office of Gianyar, on Tuesday.

He expected the assistance related to traffic conditions, especially in Ubud that recently is crowded. Ubud is a mainstay of Gianyar tourism and traffic congestion should be addressed properly.

Gianyar regency has been cooperating with the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) to make arrangement to address traffic congestion in the tourist village of Ubud.

Bali police chief, Inspector General Ronny Sompie responded to request of Gianyar Regent by expressing his readiness to support the traffic arrangement in Ubud area.

He said he would instruct Ditlantas (traffic department) of Bali Police to support overcoming the problem of traffic congestion in Ubud.

He said that his side needs to carry out a review on how the concept of traffic that needs to be done to avoid jam.

“So the concept is not reducing the impression of Ubud as a tourist area. As to whether or not the central park needs to be made. So the vehicle can be parked in the area,” he said.

Beside, a transportation leading to certain tourist area in Ubud also needs to be prepared. If it is still close it can be reached directed by foot.
