Gianyar Police Bans Swimming Activity at Beach

Gianyar Police Resort, Bali put a ban on swimming or bathing along the coastal area in the regency, since the wave’s level of the sea in the area is very dangerous.

“It’s done considering recently there are two victims because of swimming in the river and beach,” said Head of Gianyar Police, Commissioner Reza faizal on Saturday.

He previously led the signs installation prohibiting swimming or bathing in Keramas Beach, Blahbatuh, Gianyar.

The installation of the warning was also conducted along the coast of Gianyar regency that visited by local and foreign tourists, as well as local communities.

Two warning boards are installed at Lebih beach remembering it’s the most crowded and most visited by tourists, apart from Masceti Beach, Keramas, Purnama Beach, Sukawati and Lembeng Beach.

He expected tourists and local people to obey such restrictions to avoid unwanted things.

The efforts need the support and participation of all parties not to swim along the coast, despite the sea looks calm, but it is very dangerous, because the big waves often come suddenly.
