The Government of Badung Regency, Bali, declared national movement rehabilitation for 100 thousand drug addicts as a form of treatment of drug abuse in the regency.

“Therefore it is the duty of government and all components and development stakeholders in Badung to support the program and disseminate national movement to the public so that if there are patients, it can be addressed,” said Badung Regent Anak Agung Gde Agung when signing the Declaration of National Rehabilitation Movement of 100,000 Drug abusers in Badung.

The contents of the declaration of which states that Indonesia is in emergency of drugs, abusers and drug addicts who report to the receiving institution will not acussed as criminal but to get treatment to recover.

The government together with all people of Indonesia will implement a synergistic movement to rehabilitate 100,000 drug abusers in order to realize Indonesia clean of drugs and encourages the whole society to carry out a healthy lifestyle without drugs.

Meanwhile, the head of National Narcotics Agency of Badung Ni Made Asmiriwati said that the implementation of the national declaration is a very precise moment for synergizing perception from all government’s and private’s components and the entire community of Badung to take a role in securing the area from drugs threat.

“Let us work together to eradicate drugs to save our youth,” she said.

According to her, dealing with drug abuse is not just the responsibility of the government, but all parties must work together and help each other. “Let’s keep our youth and environment away from drugs,” she said.
