Government of Klungkung Regency, Bali socialized the restructuring plan of Belatung to Goa Lawah Pesinggahan beach to the local community in order to make the beaches become an interesting tourism attraction for travelers.

Regent of Klungkung I Nyoman Suwirta said if all citizens have the unanimous stance in favor of the improvement of the coastal area, it is believed that people will not feel disadvantaged, instead will feel happy because all the activities on the beach such as salting and fishermen will be supported and strengthened by local government.

Fishermen and traditional salting group will become the spearhead of tourism in Goa Lawah Beach. Salt making will be organized to become traditional tourist attraction.

Suwirta added that stalls in the parking area of Goa Lawah will also be arranged neatly and beautifully. In the arrangement, government will not dominate and buy the people’s land, but will organize and develop it into a tourist area that will be capable of providing economic value for local residents.
