Australian Tourist Died in House

KUTA ~ Reijo Ensio Usitalo, 70, an Australian tourist who lived in a house at Perum Panti Permai, Banjar Panti, Kediri, was found dead in his bedroom, on Wednesday, police said.

His body was discovered by I Putu Nartika, a neighbor, around 7am. Reijo’s body was found lying facing down, dead. The witness contacted the man’s house cleaner, who was at a religious ceremony in North Kuta.

Head of Kediri Police IGA Suinaci said that the victim was living on his own in his private house.

The evening before, around 6.30pm, his house cleaner, from Tibu Beneng, Kuta, left the house for a ceremony, asking the neighbor to watch the house and not to buy any alcoholic drinks for the victim.

During a police investigation, beer bottles, cigarettes and asthma medicine were found in the man’s room.

“There were no signs of violence on the victim’s body,” said Suinaci.

Based on information from the head of the village, the victim had lived in the house for three months.
