3,384 Travelers Visit Three Destinations in Denpasar

DENPASAR ~

A total of 3,384 foreign and domestic tourists visited three tourism objects in Denpasar City, the Bali Museum, Jagatnatha Temple and Gusti Ngurah Made Agung Field, in the period 1-20 March 2015.

“The number of tourist arrivals in those three places continued to increase since the start of the socialization of` Heritage City Tour` activities in Denpasar,” said Head of Tourism Department of Denpasar, Wayan Gunawan, in Denpasar on Sunday.

According to him, the increase in the number of tourist arrivals, are not separated from the role of travel agents on the island in introducing the cultural heritage of Denpasar.

Wayan Gunawan said the majority of the total tourists visiting from Australia, China, and Europe. However, it is also quite a lot of domestic tourists visiting the place.

“I expect the launch of Denpasar City cultural heritage tour package will give a passion for travel agents who also sell tour packages for tourists,” he said.

In addition to the three tourist destinations, he said, it was also noted as many as 120 tourists visited Puri Jro Kuta, Denpasar and Pura Maospati.

Furthermore, he said, domestic and foreign tourists also love to visit Badung and Kumbasari market, Denpasar, where on 1 to 20 March 2015 noted 2,460 people came to those places.

“Therefore, the impact is felt by the activities of` Heritage City Tour` tourists visit in Denpasar is increasing, “he said.

To continue to pursue the matter, he added, it embraces ASITA, HPI, tourism promotion agencies and other tourism associations components to play an active role in introducing Denpasar.
