DENPASAR ~
Vice Governor of Bali Ketut Sudikerta offered Malaysian businessman to invest in Buleleng Regency and Nusa Penida Island, Klungkung Regency, in order to overcome inequality of development in Bali.
“Inequality of infrastructure development is one of factors that weaken interest to invest, but if we look at these areas, they have very good potential to be developed,” said Sudikerta during the visit of Institution of Cultural Heritage Malaysia-Makassar in Denpasar on Wednesday.
He argued, Bali government eagerly builds supporting infrastructure to seek equitable development and investment.
“We are trying to build supporting infrastructure to open investment climate and development in the northern Bali and Nusa Penida, ranging from airports and highways that connect to northern Bali and also optimize the presence of existing port in Bali, as well as building a new port which is expected to be able to support the construction and development of the area,” he said.
Sudikerta did not deny that traffic jam, power supply and waste disposal are the problems that become obstacles in Bali. However, the problem is trying to be overcome by optimizing the revitalization of final disposal in Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar and Tabanan, and planning a new power source for Bali.
He also expected the institution will able to provide an opportunity to promote Bali and to be promoted in Malaysia so as to attract the interest of investors to invest in Bali.

Wow, quite surprise to read about this. But the question is that, why the Bali government not offer this opportunity to local Indonesia first? I believe, many local Indonesian are as rich as them investors from Malaysia. Well, I maybe mis intrepret the message behind this article, as I dis not know the real stroy. But, ever think about sustainability of farming/farmland? Way too many balinese had sold their farmland to don’t-know-who foreign investors. We, are trying to provide solution in farming using agropolymer technology, where in one hectare of farmland can produce 10tonnes of paddy, as we did in karangasem and mengwi last year. Proven, Indonesian technology. I am not Balinese, yet like any body else, I loved Bali since then. This is our way, of fiving back to Bali, as a reciporcation of what Bali had given us this long. ishbali.com for sustainability of farmland with agropolymer.
