DENPASAR ~
Head of Education, Youth, and Sports Department of Bali Tjokorda Istri Agung Kusuma Wardhani said that until now there is only one school in Bali that is ready to run online National Examination (UN) or computer-based test (CBT).
“The school which is ready is SMK (vocational school) Teknologi Informasi (TI) Global, in Singaraja, while SMPN (Junior High School) 1 Denpasar which previously expressed its readiness, but in fact lack of facilities,” she said, in Denpasar on Friday.
She argued, one of the requirements that must be met for schools that will implement the online UN is to be supported by the availability of computers with a minimum of one-third of the total number of students who follow the exam.
Although until now only SMK TI Global, Singaraja which expressed its readiness to run online UN, it is still unknown whether online UN in Bali will be implemented or not.
“The decision is from the central government,” she said.
Previously there were 24 schools in Bali which was appointed by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to run the online UN or computer based test.
The schedule for the online UN is different with schools running ordinary exam. National Examination using paper sheet for SMA / SMK will be held on 13 to 15 April 2015 and for SMP at 4-6 May 2015.
While UN for schools that use CBT system for high school will last for six days (7.8, 9, 13, 14 and 15 April), vocational level for four days (13, 14, 15 and 16 April) and three days for SMP (4.5 and May 6, 2015).
