Ngurah Rai International Airport has implemented passenger service charge (PSC) on tickets started on March 1, 2015.
“We monitor the implementation of the` PSC on Ticket` from midnight and the implementation does not find any obstacles,” said Co-General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Ardita in Kuta, Badung, on Sunday.
The airport, he said, provides two counters for the PSC services by name of the airline those are special for Garuda Indonesia and Non-Garuda Indonesia. For domestic departures is available three lanes scanner while the international terminal is available four lanes scanner of boarding pass.
Meanwhile, related to passengers who have purchased tickets ahead of time before the implementation of the PSC, the airport serving payment of PSC through the airline when they check-in.
Ngurah Rai International Airport, in the near future also will add four counters for service of Visa on Arrival in the international arrival terminal to avoid long line of passengers.
“We immediately add four counters for VoA,” said I Gusti Ngurah Ardita.
According to him, currently there are five counters of VoA with four immigration officers on each counter.
Hopefully, by the addition of the VoA counters, the service could be more optimal including giving satisfaction to the passengers who had just arrived at one of the busiest airport in the country.
Every day, an average of 9,000 passengers from around the world arrives at the International Terminal of the airport.
“If the international arrivals are close, then it would causes long lines. It should be anticipated,” he said.
