Pastika Invites Young Generation to Keep “Taksu” of Bali

Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika encouraged Balinese youth, especially college students to always keep the taksu or spiritual vibrations of the island upholding local wisdom, ethics, and morality.

“Although Bali is small, but it has a great significance for the world. Various major international events are often held in Bali, it can not be separated from Bali’s taksu,” he said while giving a lecture in accordance to the new student orientation event at Dwijendra University and tree planting activity in the temple of Samuan Tiga, Gianyar regency, on Sunday.

On that occasion, Pastika also encouraged students to always be grateful to have been given the opportunity to have an education and stay in Bali.  “We should be grateful to be able to go to college and stay in Bali. Where we live, there we adapt. Follow moral and ethical in Bali,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Rector of the University Dwijendra Putu Diatmikawati explained that the activity is a regular event held every year during new student orientation. “This tree planting activity  is to preserve the rare plants that are often used during religious rituals,” said Diatmikawati.

A total of 160 trees were planted, of which coconut, pomegranate, coconut milk, majegau, sandalwood, ylang flowers, and chrysolite.
