DENPASAR ~
Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika believed “travel warning” or holiday travel warnings issued by Australia to its citizens will not really affect foreign tourists to visit Bali.
“I do not think it will affect too much because Bali have become second home for Australian. Especially if there is in cold weather, the people will come here,” he said in Denpasar, on Wednesday.
He believed that the issuance of “travel warning” was somewhat exaggerated, although it is the right of each country to regulate its citizens.
According to him, so far there is no problem in terms of security in Bali, as well as in terms of health.
Therefore, Pastika assessed that it would not be problematic because it is not specifically mention Bali, which probably for other regions in Indonesia.
On the other hand, he encouraged Balinese people to always maintain the security of the region. “We cannot just invite people to come to Bali but we are not able to keep our island. It should be based on the objectives,” he said.
Pastika said the public should not worry because in the midst of the current disclosure, if all goes well and smooth there will be no problem.
“Nowadays we cannot lie, the reality is clear, all can be seen. If all goes well and smooth without any problems, why should we worry?” he questioned.
Moreover, he added, from the first Australian Government issued a “travel warning”, the people keep coming to Bali.
Earlier, Australian Government warned the citizens not to do vacation to Indonesia. They are wary of attacks to be carried out by terrorists. According to them, acts of terrorism can happen anytime.
Australian citizen has been the highest position of foreign tourists visiting Bali.
