Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika replaced all officials of Department of Investment and License of Bali because they are showing no responsible in giving public service.

“May be not all of the officials are wrong, but I have to replace all as all of them are “blind”. Every day they see the machine is not functioning well but there is no action,” he said in Denpasar, on Friday.

He deeply regretted that visitor queue machine in that office was left in broken condition for three years. He found it when he did joined raid with Minister of States Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucracy Reformation (MenpanRB) Yuddy Chrisnandi.

“If it happen one or two days, I still can accept it, it might be under repairmen. But they let it until three years,” he said.

Pastika reminded that government officials must give the best service to public without any delay.

Pastika hoped that the new officials can learn and work fast to recover the performance of BPMP Bali because it become one of barometer of public services in Bali.

“The placement of new officials will not be effective if there is no change,” he said.

He asked them to apply ‘ngayah’ concept or serving and it is applied as a culture to give the best service for public.

The former officials has to be willing to be put as general staff, Pastika asked them to be sincere in giving explanations to the new officials.

“It will be included in the assessment. They should not be angry or mad as it will just ruining themselves. I will see whether they are willing to improve or not, “he said.

For the head of BPMP Bali, Ida Bagus Parwata, he said, will be searched for person on duty.

Meanwhile the head of Ombudsman welcomed positively toward the governor’s decision.

“The decision is good as they are not responsible to let the machine not in function for long time,” said Umar Ibnu Alkatab, head of Ombudsman Bali, in Denpasar, on Friday.

He hoped that governor can hold a general raid not only in BPMD but also in other departments.

Besides, Ombudsman will consider withdrawing certificate of compliance that has been given to BPMP if there is no improvement soon.
