Need More Promotion to Deal with Prohibition of Meeting in Hotel

Tourism observer encouraged hospitality entrepreneur to do more promotion to attract more foreign tourists. It is related the ban for civil servants to hold a meeting in hotel.

“The condition is a challenge to all parties in an effort to attract more foreign tourists to come to this country both to hold meeting or other activities,” said observer of tourism in Bali Dewa Nyoman Putra in Denpasar on Friday.

According to him, the government should not just ban it, but there is an effort to bring the international community as much as possible to Indonesia, including Bali with a free-visa program for people of potential country to come to Indonesia.

Free tourist visa will be given start from the beginning of 2015 to Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, including Russia, where those countries are the largest supplier of tourists to Bali.

Australia for example, supplies 2.7 million tourists or 25.96 percent tourist of all foreign tourists to Bali in September 2014, then China supplies tourist amounting 445,719 increased 47.80 percent from last year which were only 301,566 people.

Putra said the first step of the government should be welcomed through increasing promotion to the potential countries in order that the international community is interested and willing to visit the beauty of nature and culture in Bali.

The hard work is not just for hotel or a restaurant entrepreneur, but all parties, including safety issues officials, because it becomes a standard basic problem for someone who wants to travel abroad.

He also asked tourism components to keep improving the quality of service so that travelers get a good impression of the way we welcome them.

If the government with the existing tourism components supports each other, it is believed that the target number of foreign tourists who come on holiday to Bali in 2015 could be achieved.
