The government should keep doing tourism promotion activities to countries in the European region, considering the European people is very potential and loyal to spend their cash.

“Demand for promotion to Europe as the community are potential to travel abroad, and Bali which is rich in art and culture is very suitable for them,” said Tourism Observer, Dewa Rai Budiasa in Denpasar on Tuesday.

A number of tourists from countries in Europe have increased seven percent to Bali and it is still necessary to do more vigorous promotion so that their curiosity can attract them come to the island.

“If Bali government is less able to promote to Europe, the central government needs to be more intensive to attract more international community including the European tourists to come to Bali for holiday,” said Dewa Rai.

Moreover, Garuda Indonesia airline and other countries’ international flights more incentive to take the flight line from Europe to Indonesia and vice versa, automatically more and more European tourists to Indonesia.

There are a number of European countries included at the top ten suppliers of foreign tourists to Bali like France which is in the seventh rank, the number of visit is 113,966 people in January-October 2014 up from only 106,063 people last year.

British tourists are in the eighth position with 107,736 people at the first ten months of 2014 increased 7.08 percent from the same period in 2013 which was 100,617 people. German travelers increased 10 percent from 82,199 people into 90.534 people in January-October, 2014.

In total, there were 634,752 European tourists during January-October 2014, whose role reaches 20,33 percent of all foreign tourists to Bali this period of 3.1 million people.

Dewa Rai Budiasa stated that, the behavior of foreign tourists who come to Bali began to change, especially in choosing the location of hotel. In the 1980s tourists loved to stay at hotel near the beach in Kuta, Sanur and Nusa Dua, Badung.

Now has been switched to the villa that frequently found in the rice fields in, so it is not surprising that the elite accommodation appeared in agricultural areas, river bank area in the tourist area of Payangan and Ubud, Gianyar regency.He said foreign tourists who come to Bali, generally want peace of mind, despite of their busy and exhausting days in their respected country.

Foreign tourists who seek tranquility in Bali now prefer to stay in a hotel or villa on the banks of the river or on the slopes of the cliff which mostly can be seen in villages.
