Vice Regent of Badung, Bali, I Made Sudiana, encouraged the development of fishing tourism in the sea of Kuta to increase the number of tourists coming to the island.

“This fishing activity is a form of tourist attraction that needs serious development to become a new tourism destination in Badung,” he said after fishing along Kuta Beach to Balangan Beach, District of South Kuta on Sunday.

I Made Sudiana said that the fishing tourist attraction if implemented in earnest will certainly be able to contribute to the society and will be able to make a livelihood besides being fisherman as well as guiding tourist to do fishing in Kuta.

In addition, Sudiana also considered that the beauty of Kuta has a sale value more than other areas so that the well packed will be able to attract tourists to the richest districts in Bali.

Separately, Secretary of Badung, Kompyang R Swandika, also strongly supports the implementation of fishing mania that held by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and local Marine in order to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Mangupura City.

“This activity is to exercise patience of participants and can show that behind the beauty of Kuta beach, it turns out the hidden potential of the fishery. These fishing activities in order to continue to be developed so as to attract more tourists both local and overseas to try fishing at Kuta beach,” he said.

He also encouraged the development of the fishing competition to be  well packaged so that it becomes a new tourism icon that is fishing in the sea of Kuta.
