Denpasar Police Concerns at ATM Fraud Case

DENPASAR ~

Denpasar City Police tried to map a track record of burglary cases in two automated teller machines (ATMs) that occurred for nearly a week in the capital city of Bali province.

“We’re trying to map the previous offender who was out of or remain at the jail for the collection of material for investigation in the field,” said Head of the Criminal Investigation Division of Denpasar Police, Assistant Commissioner I Nengah Sadiarta in Denpasar on Friday.

According to him, they will be provided an assistance and support in this case. The mapping of ATM burglary case was expected to reveal whether the case was conducted by a group of old players or new one.

Until now the police have not found any clue related to the cases at two crime scenes in Denpasar, one of them at the ATM of Bank Rakyat Indonesia at Jalan Ahmad Yani, Denpasar.

The robbers failed to steal the money in the machine, but the ATM machine was damaged

“The cable of security cameras had been cut by the robbers,” he added.

The police, he said, would put the number of police in certain places including increasing patrol activities.
