Denpasar City Police added CCTV in the local jails since police found prisoner storing drugs.

“We multiply the CCTV to avoid the incidence of drug stored in the jails,” said the Head of Denpasar Police, Commissioner of Police Djoko Hariutomo in Denpasar on Wednesday.

He said that the number of CCTV was increased  to 24 from the previous number that was only eight CCTV.

It is expected that through the cameras, police can anticipate the entry of harmful objects including narcotics into the jails.

The drug invention, he said, is finding a second time during the period from 2013 to 2014.

He explained that police also examined four guards of jails for questioning related to drug invention in the jail.

Earlier on Tuesday police found a prisoner, Asnawi Becky (38) storing shabu-shabu or meth weighing 0.5 grams when guards conducted a search in the local jail.
