Three villagers from Munduk, Buleleng died due to alcoholic drinks on Tuesday morning, while the other 34 are still undergoing intensive treatment at the general hospital.
“We’re investigating this case,” said Banjar Sector Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Made Sanjaya.
He mentioned that Nyoman Rudi Alan (39), a hotel employee in the village, passed away in Parama Sidhi hospital, Singaraja, Buleleng regency, after having drinking alcohol liquor in Munduk village.
Meanwhile, Gede Suta Arjawa (39) and Made Dwi Adnyana (45) passed away in Graha Shanti hospital, Seririt, Buleleng regency, at 03.00 am.
Preiously, they held a party of oplosan, mixed liquor, with 34 colleagues. The mixed liquor contains beer mixed with Balinese arak.
The party was held starting at 2:00 am at the resident’s house. An hour later, some of them were lying among the party participants.
The family who knew the incident was immediately brought the victim to the hospital. “The alcohol seller and his wife who both lived in the same village with the victims still being asked for more information,” said Made Sanjaya.
