Inflation Eases in December

Indonesia’s inflation rate eased slightly in December, coming in at 6.6 percent against a year ago, partly on higher food prices, an official said.

December’s figure was above the government’s revised forecast of 6 percent but within the central bank’s target of 5 to 7 percent.

Inflation in Southeast Asia’s largest economy was 6.7 percent year-on-year in November.
