TABANAN ~ Bali Governor Dewa Made Beratha has suggested that the government revise development regulations that forbid any building to be higher than 15 meters, to anticipate a rising population.

During a visit by the governor to Tabanan this week, Regent Ngurah Adi Wiryatama said that more so-called green belts where development is not permitted were being transformed into residential areas.

“Land turnover in Tabanan for the past five years has been very high. Many investors have come to take over farm land that had been abandoned,” he said.
