JAKARTA ~ Indonesia’s trade surplus fell by 14.4 percent to US$3.21 billion in April, from $3.75 billion a month earlier, due to weaker exports and stronger imports, Central Bureau of Statistics deputy chairman Pietojo said this week.

Exports had dropped to $8.85 billion in April from $9.19 billion in March.

Imports had continued to rise, to $5.64 billion, from $5.44 billion a month earlier.
